Dark Souls 2

Last night during Spike TV's video game awards. Namco Bandai Games played a trailer for Dark Souls 2, the sequel to the unforgiving and very difficult role playing game Dark Souls.
It hasn't been very long since Namco Bandai Games hired From Software to port the console game Dark Souls to be released on PC under the title Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition. As the title says you better be prepared to die a lot when playing this game. Check out the trailer here.

This time Namco Bandai Games will hopefully release the PC version at the same time as the console versions. I wouldn't want to miss out on being able to play Dark Souls 2 when it's released. I can't wait to fight giant sword wielding wolves as an undead spirit. Oh Japanese role playing games are fun sometimes.

AU Ressurrects Greek Life

Almost five years ago all Greek life was threaten to be extinct, but with the help of many and the dedication of a select few; Greek life has returned is making an impact on the Aurora University once again.

When the extinction of Greek began there was a strong number of Greek Letter organizations on the campus, but by the time it was over only few remained. AU is not a large campus so the number of members that each Greek org had was always low compared to a large state school with 25,000 plus students.Greek organizations still produced many major event each semester and inducted new members as well.

Current Greek and senior Caleb Rice said " I remember when I first got here and wasn't Frat, there was not a lot of diversity so anytime you saw a Fraternity or Sorority you wanted to be there to see what happened. After things died down with them not a lot of events happened anymore." The campus now works with the current Greek organization to achieve certain goals and are rumored to be helping new organizations either return or become a new member to AU campus.

Currently AU has Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Incorporated (Alphas), Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Incorporated (SGRhos's), Phi Iota Alpha Fraternity Incorporated (PhiIota's), Gamma Phi Omega International Sorority Incorporated and Sigma Delta Gamma AU's founded sorority in 2004. Sources say that other organization such as Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, and Sigma Lambda Gamma Sorority are all due to make an appearance on AU's campus.

Fingers crossed for the AU campus to continue with their expansion of Greek Life.

Twilight: Breaking Dawn pt. 2
The Twilight chapter has come to an end. For fanatics of the book and movies series, this is very saddening. I went with my ex to see it this past weekend. I never read the books, but through past girlfriends was forced to watch it at one time or another. Since the first installment of the movie, it has really grown on me.

The final chapter of the book couldn't have closed any better. I don't want to give away any spoilers but trust me when I say this is the best one of them all. It had plenty of action and suspense. The storyline followed where part 1 of Breaking Dawn left off. I thought the writing was great, the effects, and the smooth transitioning throughout the movie.

This, alongside The Dark Knight Rises, is probably one of my favorite movies of the year. A great way to put closure on the vampire love story. It came full circle at the end. I give this movie a 5/5 stars, a MUST see!
MTV's Catfish

Catfish is MTV's latest success television series. The series was created after the success of the Catfish movie/documentary. The movie followed a New York photographer named Nev Schulman and an online relationship with a family and the daughter of the family, who he starts a romantic relationship with that spans over the course of the year. Long story short, she end up not being who she said she was and basically made up the facebook profiles (about 15 fake profiles on Facebook).

With the positive feedback and response to the show, mtv took the documentary and turned it into a tv series. It takes a very interesting look into online relationships. Nev is the host and helps hopeless romantics who are in online relationships meet their partners. In the episodes so far, many of the parties in the relationship has yet to meet with their significant others in person nor via camera. Some are in love and has high hopes of meeting the person they have fell in love with online. Are the people they fell in love with who they truly say they are? Tune in to mtv on Mondays at 10pm and find out for yourself. MTV's Catfish
